The little joys of everyday.

There is so much that we hold on to, so much that we repeat in our behaviour, in routines and in numb hustles one day after the other. We see ourselves getting consumed by the same things on loop, making life, and the day a little nightmare in it’s becoming. Why, I wonder.

There is so much around that we get impacted by, all that most of what we can’t do much, we hold little to no control and yet, we get sucked into the illusion.

Life moves at a faster pace most of the times, to extents that we find taking a pause to be a sin, in worry that we just might be left behind, that we somehow would overly go hard on ourselves to do damage control. Why are we rushing so much, all the time, I wonder?

Pause. Stop. Breathe. Look around. Look within.

We are not really good on our own if we are running, screaming within, hugging endless expectations and shooting targets in the endless sky.

Pause. Stop. Breathe. Look around. Look within. It’s all okay, it will be better at its own pace, and so will you. Step away from comparisons, quit beating yourself up for being an underachiever on rough days. It. Is. Okay.

Stop for a moment. Take a breath and just in that moment, try to find the little joys around and within that keep you going that you barely notice, or you are trying to.

Find your little things, your little moments, the teeny-tiny seconds of your life where you just choose to breathe, to love, to live away from attaching it all to something around. Just, you, you know! These are the little joys of everyday that keep us young, keep us going even if we don’t pay attention to them, which we should.

We’ve been screaming inside for long already, how about we turn to a little joy that sits around us and within us everyday? It’s doable, believe me, but believe yourself more.

We all get to live once, let us not age and wreck our spines and rhymes so early.

Let us live a little more than usual in the usual routine that we’ve made for ourselves.

We can do anything we want to. All it takes is a little hunger for betterment, for peace and an appetite for the little things that bring endless joy.

I believe in you. I hope you do, too.
