Before my coffee goes cold

Before my coffee goes cold, let me tell you something, something heart to heart that has been aching within me, urged to come out one second after the other. I have come face to face with a fragment of a bigger reality, that we are all somehow stuck in our heads way beyond need and possible greed. We are preoccupied in living parts of the past to such extents, we end up ruining our present moments beyond repair. We damage, hurt and scar parts of our todays that were meant to be cupped in our palms, handled with nothing but love and complete awareness of all we gave away to get to where we are today. We are subconsciously trained and programmed to relate our present moments with the past when the negatives come in so much, so often that we end up second guessing all the good that is around and within, waiting to shine no matter the night or broad day light. Its all in the head in multiples than what it ‘could’ be in reality. We are all carriers.

We carry around reflections of the conversations we indulge in, the people we cross paths with, the commitments we hold on to, the closures we embrace and let go, all of it deep within that show up and act up in all our daily situations.

We have got to invest in the music that life is, acting upon making the most of all we have today, edging away from cribbing and complaining about all that is beyond our doing to change.

Before my coffee goes cold, and before we just go numb, losing track of life as we grow old, let us embrace all we have today, the sorrows and the good alike. Let us break older patterns by prioritising the reflections we hold on to, find the good in all and within and just let the rest be replaced by newer patterns in thinking, learning and becoming.

We can, you know? It sounds easy, maybe the first step looks ‘harder’ than what it could actually be. Only one way to figure it all out, jump in with both feet;

About time I get to my coffee now.
